About Us

The overall goal of the 4CHANGE project is to tackle skills gaps of metalworkers in the manufacturing sector and enhance the responsiveness of VET (Vocational education and training) systems to the manufacturing sector-specific labour market needs and demand for new digital and entrepreneurial skills. The project addresses the following objectives: to design and deliver a new targeted VET programme applying ECVET (European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training), based on the current and future skills demand in the sector, and to develop a self-adaptive work-based learning system in combination with coaching.

The Consortium includes 12 partners from Lithuania, Germany, Latvia and Estonia.

The 4CHANGE expected results are:

  • comparative analysis of qualification standards
  • model qualification standard
  • EQF (European Qualifications Framework) based model VET Programme
  • interactive training material for learners and trainers
  • E-learning platform with multimedia
  • computer numerically controlled (CNC) Simulation Software
  • at least 100 learners and 50 trainers trained
Direct target groups of 4CHANGE project are learners in VET institutions, metalworkers employed in manufacturing companies, in-company trainers (master metalworkers), trainers/ teachers/ instructors at VET institutions, adults aiming for requalification, unemployed of all ages, people from the Labour Exchange. The project will positively impact a number of key aspects such as the metalworking industry demand for motivated and high skilled metalworkers, the competitiveness of metalworking companies, the improvement of VET curriculum for metalworkers’ occupational profile with special attention to apprenticeship and the attractiveness of VET systems and policy. It will also positively impact metalworker engagement and satisfaction at work by stimulating entrepreneurial competency and application of coaching methodology at work. Other benefits include enhanced digital skills of workers and trainers, the validation of practices (promotion of quality assurance mechanism in VET in line with the EQAVET (European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training) recommendations, increased awareness of state-of-the-art VET curriculum and attractiveness of vocational training in general.

Designed a Model Qualification Standard and VET Programme based on Galaxy Model modules:
  • B1 Metal Machining;
  • B2 CNC Machining;
  • B3 Mechatronics;
  • B4 Programming;
  • B5 CAD / CAM;
  • B6 Networking, IT security, Big data;
  • B7 Robotics;
  • B8 Additive manufacturing;
  • B9 Smart production process management.
It is planned to introduce recommendations for national implementation.

WEBSITE: The achieved results to the public are available on project Webpage: www.change4industry.eu
E-learning platform: www.cnc4change.org

The E-learning platform acts as an on-line training tool for learners, trainers, VET institutions, manufacturing companies and individuals aiming at acquiring metalworkers profession.

Innovation of this created E-learning platform, that inside is integrated smart algorithm of personal testing of skills in different levels of qualifications and competence sets, according to developed by partners universal Galaxy model. After this initial testing each learner will get personalized program for learning by support of e- platform up to reaching targeted level.
